Another superb photography meet-up with Georgios to work through getting the most from macro photography. The day was sunny, but freezing cold with thick snow - we were able to make use of the snow and ice crystals to get some great shots! Yay! Really looking forward to the next events.

It was a good walk around Durham with a knowledgeable tutor who's clearly enthusiastic about architecture photography, and I learned several things, including one especially good tip. I'd happily join another of Jake's classes.

It was an amazing introduction to photography. Jake was so knowledgeable and was generous in sharing this knowledge in a way that encouraged me to have a go and believe in myself. We were able to explore the best options for different light, close up pictures, composition and much more. I left feeling inspired and motivated to do more with my camera. I can't thank Jake enough for a fantastic course

This was a still October afternoon where the river Wear was incredibly still and created these amazing reflections. I wanted to show how clear the reflections were by using the detail of the bridge and the overhanging branch helped to frame the overall image.

This shot was taken during a day trip to the Lake District. As I rounded the corner in the car, this vista came straight into view. The shot was taken on a Fuji fine pix S602. The settings were, F10, 1/100th second, iso 160. From memory, I wasn't too sure whether or not this was actually Rydal Water however, with a little research, I now feel that it is, but I could be wrong.
